Joseph Cioffi is a partner and Chair of the Insolvency, Creditors’ Rights & Financial Products Practice Group at Davis & Gilbert in New York City. With a breadth of business experience in finance and marketing functions and a legal career spanning transactional, bankruptcy and litigation work, Joseph leads a multidisciplinary practice with experience in all stages of credit and market cycles – from cradle to grave – including in subprime lending operations and asset-backed securities litigation.
Joseph has written for and has been quoted by numerous publications, including American Banker, Law360, Asset Securitization Reporter, The Banking Law Journal, The Journal of Bankruptcy Law and Auto Finance News, regarding student loans, marketplace lending, auto loans, PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS).
