Lucia Villar is a Director of Investments at Community Investment Management (CIM), an institutional impact investment manager. CIM provides debt funding for responsible innovation in lending to U.S. small businesses and underserved borrowers in which the long-term interests of borrowers and investors are aligned. In her investment role at CIM, Lucia seeks to partner with innovative lenders that demonstrate strong financial performance and a commitment to responsible, transparent, and borrower-centric lending practices. Lucia has deep expertise in financial services and Fintech, having held senior leadership titles at Earnest and as a consultant in McKinsey’s Financial Institutions Group. Lucia began her career in the microfinance sector, working at ACCION International and Citi Foundation. She holds an undergraduate degree from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
