Tim Bodner is a Managing Director in PwC (US)’s Real Estate practice, the leader of its Real Estate Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services and Real Estate Deals businesses in the United States and a member of the Global Real Estate Deals Leadership Team. Mr. Bodner concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and hospitality strategy, capital markets access, transaction structuring and execution, and operational effectiveness including those matters related to accounting and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and other bases of accounting. Capital markets access and transactional experience includes initial public offerings, exempt equity and debt offerings, sales of high yield and investment grade debt and tender offers, as well as complex corporate transactions, such as going private transactions, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Experience in respect of accounting and financial reporting matters relates to, among other topics, the accounting for business combinations and consolidation. Representative clients include The Blackstone Group, Starwood Capital Group, Greystar Partners, Colony NorthStar, Brookfield Asset Management, KKR & Co., and Apollo Global Management. Mr. Bodner rejoined PwC (US)’s Real Estate practice in January 2015 after spending a number of years in industry in senior finance roles with responsibility for monitoring financial performance, managing human capital, capital markets activities, and setting, and maintaining compliance with, established accounting policies and reporting practices. Mr. Bodner is a contributor to PwC (US)’s Real Estate Insights and related publications. He is a member of a number of national and local real estate trade groups, including the Urban Land Institute, Mortgage Bankers Association, Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, International Council of Shopping Centers, and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and lives in Washington D.C. with his family.
